The Process
Pre-Production
This is the part where we very vaguely go through each song, making notes of bpm (beats per minute) and time signature changes. This is also the stage where we can make scratch tracks for the drummer to play along to.
Drums
First up is drums. You are more than welcome to use the studio's Mapex 6-Piece drum kit, although I suggest you bring your own throne, pedals, and cymbals for personal comfort. Whether you will be playing to a click or a scratch track, it is CRUCIAL you play as tight as possible to the click. We can also program drums if your drummer is terrible or non-existant.
Guitars
Here at the studio I do have a couple guitars you are more than welcome to use (See list at the bottom of this page). If you are using your own, be sure to slap on a fresh set of strings, as this makes all the difference. Electric guitar I will record DI, so we can spend more time tracking, and less time trying to find the right tone.

Bass

Bass is pretty straight forward and easy to record. It will be recorded DI just as the guitars were. New bass strings are a MUST when recording. Don't be lazy, take 20 minutes and slap a new set on.

Vocals

Vocals are the last to go. I suggest you do  solid warm-up before tracking. Bring some water and strive to give the best performance possible. Aim for emotion over hitting a certain note.
